…Japanese startup Shimizu began prototyping their Arma, an e-scooter that folds down to the size of a laptop.
"Our groundbreaking design condenses high-performance mobility into an A4 paper-sized frame, a revolutionary advancement in the e-scooter industry. This unprecedented size and lightness don't just set us apart—it transforms how you navigate your world, offering unparalleled convenience, especially for urban commuters tackling busy streets and crowded public transport."
The Arma scooter, which the company says will weigh less than 10 pounds, will feature swappable batteries, a 7-mile range and a charging time of two hours.
It's been successfully Kickstarted, with 53 days left in the campaign at press time. Buy-in starts at $1,077, and they expect to ship by July of 2024.
