Most of us can live with the lint, dust and pet hair that accumulates in the crevices of our furniture. But for healthcare facilities obligated to disinfect all surfaces thoroughly, furniture crevices present a problem.
A company called Lifecare Furniture addresses this market with their SYSTM line of furniture, which is designed to be quickly disassembled for thorough cleaning.
All of their pieces are dismantlable by means of a red-handled Allen key that stores beneath the seat.
Because the pieces come apart quickly and cleanly, it also makes it easier to re-upholster them, in the event of unsightly stains or worse. That makes them ideal for not just healthcare facilities, but high-traffic commercial settings.
The company offers a variety of designs for both chairs and sofas.
If all residential furniture was designed in this way, it'd be a heck of a lot easier to spruce up an old piece rather than trashing it to buy the latest style.

Seems like a great feature for someone having to move as well. Couches and chairs are always an issue trying to get in/out of apartments and pack for moving.
