The simplest things are the most difficult.
Isn't half the depth twice the width? What you save in depth, you'd have to gain it in width to store the same amount.
while yeah you need to have more width to store the same amount of clothing, this is a solution that is more for people who have more than enough wall space for hanging clothing, but for whatever reason either cant have the clothing storage be as wide, or would rather have less depth taken up by the clothing storage.
