This unusual meditation chair is by industrial designer Fenglin Gao. They allow folks with joint or postural issues to assume an approximation of the classical position.

The chair can also be opened, for those who have no problem going full-Lotus.

Gao also designed a shoes-on variant:

These are supposedly in production by a Chinese company called Shine Meditation, but at press time their website was suffering from technical difficulties and I could not produce a working link.
