These stainless steel storage jars are by Dulton, a vintage-inspired Japanese housewares manufacturer. (They're something like the Restoration Hardware of Japan.)
Intended for kitchen use, they feature a push-button release for the silicon-rubber-sealed lid; the idea is that you can open them one-handed, i.e. if the other hand is engaged with messy materials.
They come in three sizes:
350mL (11.8 oz) - ¥ 2,420 (USD $16)
900mL (30.4 oz) - ¥ 2,860 (USD $19)
1,500mL (50.7 oz) - ¥ 3,300 (USD $22)
I bet the first person to import these to the U.S. for distribution would clean up in the EDC market.
