Industrial design consultancy Swerve designed this Qi Alarm Clock for client Atomi.
"The Qi alarm provides a clean and simple solution to the longstanding and complex interfaces found on less progressive alarm clocks [which have] multiple buttons and sliders controlling the time and alarm settings."
"On this alarm clock every function is controlled by one simple rotating control button. Pressing the control switches between settings and rotating the dial adjusts the hour and minutes. Nice and simple, with no swarms of miniature buttons hidden around the back of the product in hard-to-reach surfaces."
"In typical hyper-functional style, the Atomi Qi alarm clock includes a wireless charging pad on the top surface and additional USB ports on the side."

Or you could just use an angled charging dock and use the "always on" or "night stand" function of your OLED-equipped phone to display the time. Setting the time on a phone is an easier process than on this alarm clock since it requires no input from the user.
You’re just saying having an alarm clock is useless if you have a smart phone. Current market demand and user needs say different. People want an alarm clock on their bedside in addition to their phones. Why? I don’t know but feel free to research it yourself
