"There are hardly any functional, robust and at the same time aesthetically pleasing solutions for storing or hanging up [skateboards] in public or semi-private spaces," writes Swiss street furniture company Burri Public Elements. Thus they produce these SkateboardZ racks:
"SkateboardZ offers a variety of mounting options and is easy to expand."
"The boards can be easily hung and secured with a padlock (with a long shackle) or wire lock."
These were designed by Zurich-based industrial designer Beat Karrer.

Been a skateboarder my whole life, the thing I always have with me is a skate tool, very handy to remove trucks and wheels. The security on almost every skate park "board lock" system is a joke.
tbh, one of the nice things about skateboarding over riding a bike when I was a kid was the fact I could just tuck it under my arm when I went in a store or wherever. Fine concept and good execution regardless.
