The René Wall-Based Bike Mount

London-based industrial designer Tomoko Azumi designed this René to look less utilitarian than your average wall-based bike mount.

The steam-bent arms are joined by three dowels, with a fabric shelf slung between the top two dowels. Four different fabric colors are offered.

It's sold flatpacked.

I'd like to see some means of hanging gloves or other items from the lower dowel, or the valley of the arms, but I suppose that's easy enough to rig up.

René is in production by Italian furniture manufacturer Zilio A&C.
