I've never found hammocks comfortable, but to many they seem to be the ultimate symbol of leisure. A company called Anymaka has designed a portable hammock, which eliminates the need to find two nearby trees or site a bulky frame. Impressively, the Anymaka frame sets up or breaks down in just three seconds:
Weighing 23 pounds, it comes with a travel bag so you can tote it anywhere.
It's not as long as a regular hammock, of course...
...but the portability and easy set-up appear to be a huge draw. The Anymaka hammock has been an absolute smash on Kickstarter, seeking just $10,000 in pledges and garnering $887,474 at press time, with 44 days left to pledge. The $245 product is surely on track to hit the million-dollar mark.
