A common criticism of car commercials is that they often show the vehicles driving on remote, nature-lined roads, or miraculously uncluttered city streets--a far cry from the bumper-to-bumper urban traffic hell most of us know.
Another image of cars consumers probably never picture are the huge lots filled with unsold stock, a sign of economic reality. As we can see in the photo above, Nissan has resorted to storing unsold stock on their testing track, featured in a sad but beautiful photo essay in The Guardian.
