This reminds me of an ID school assignment, in a good way. Considering that screws, those ubiquitous fasteners, are rarely considered a visual selling point in product designs, industrial designer Bongkyu Song sought a way to celebrate them.
The result is his Washer 001 series, which seeks to mate screws and industrial washers in a visually interesting way, in as many different applications as possible:

With very little tooling investment this would make a good business for 1 or 2 people or a family. Needs little more than 1 square meter workspace. Old English term for this is “cottage industry” whereas a cottage is a very small home. Would a “female” mating part expand this concept’s breadth of utility?
Very pure and simple. I screw dollar store plastic bowls, 150mm diameter using a fender washer, to a wood strip to hang my cap and hat collection. Doggie raincoats too. Keeps them neat. Never thought of going small. Funny how, especially in signage, we jump through flaming hoops to avoid exposed fasteners. There are sooooo many possibilities here. The delicate anodized-like colors are great. Pardon the name dropping but this is like B&O meets Memphis.
