The PC Lamp Series, Designed by Pierre Charpin for Hay
Plus an experimental version that didn't make the cut
Artist/designer Pierre Charpin designed this PC Lamp series for Hay:
In the 'States, the cordless, rechargeable PC Portable Lamp and the corded PC Table Lamp S variants, both made from scratch-resistant ABS, are sold by Hay.
The PC Linear Pendant and the PC Double Arm (which comes in clamp, base or insert mounts), both made from aluminum, are sold by Hay's mothership in the Netherlands.
Digging through his archives, Charpin reveals that during the design phase he experimented with this clamping version of the PC Double Arm. It features a removable base that spares you from the eyesore of the clamp:

I like it when designers show us their discarded ideas and never-rans, and wish more of them would do it. Charpin regularly posts archival stuff like this on his Instagram.
