This lightweight Clip Table was designed by Denmark-based consultancy Komplot Design. It's intended for assembly halls, auditoriums, conference rooms, classrooms, offices and dining halls, or anywhere where tables occasionally need to be compressed for storage and/or joined end-to-end for group activities. The legs on one end are offset, allowing the tables to be stacked.
In addition to permitting stacking, "placing the legs on the outside of the tabletop and keeping the legs inside on the opposite end…keeps the table stable and 'locked' in connection to the other tables when placed in a row," reads the description. (To be clear, I don't see any kind of actual locking mechanism; I believe the legs merely provide a point of registration.)
The Clip Table comes in four sizes and is in production by Norwegian furniture manufacturer Fora Form.
