Rimowa's Strange Cross-Body Aluminum Sling Clutch
For EDC fashionistas?
As people have grown obsessed not just with carrying stuff, but how they carry said stuff, we've seen some strange bag designs on the market. But this here's the cake-taker. High-end German travel gear company Rimowa makes this Aluminum Sling Clutch, which seems like something you buy for a couple where one partner's a fashionista and the other is really into EDC.
I suppose if you're carrying something precious that's roughly 5" x 8" and 1.5" thick, and you'd like to advertise this to those around you, this fits the bill perfectly.
The aluminum shell flips open to reveal a gusseted leather compartment to hold your bauble, while two slots will hold credit cards. The lid is held shut by a button-style spring-loaded latch.
It also comes in black.
Price? $1,170. Yeah.

$1,100 and no way to lock it? Makes sense.....
Found this about a year ago when looking at cross-body bags, particularly one I could stash my film camera in. This looked great until you see the price, but I could imagine it'd be good for protecting cameras. Funny how with luxury goods they're always hesitant to show anything inside of them, for fear it doesn't justify the price.
