Logitech's Brio 300 webcam has a feature all webcams should have:
The $70 1080p unit features auto light correction, a noise-reducing mic, USB-C connectivity and, of course, that handy rotating privacy shutter.
It's beyond me why not all webcams, even the fancy $300 ones, don't have this feature. (And beyond me why I have to look at a piece of tape atop the screen of my $2,500 laptop.)
By the bye, if you're wondering about the Brio's speckled appearance...
...it's made from post-consumer recycled plastic (minimum 48%, the company says).

Not sure where you've been webcam shopping but more than half of Logitech webcams have a privacy slider of some sorts. They have sold models with this type of cover for years actually.
have you seen those little stick on sliders they make for laptops?
