Industrial designer Jake Naish, who's based in Leeds, England, designed this gorgeous Magnus chair:
I think the form, the gesture and the lightness are all stellar—with the exception of the seat, which I think would need some curvature or thickness to avoid deforming if the piece will be made of plastic, as I assume it would.
I write "if" and "would be" because, you guessed it, this design is just a render.
Naish has thought about the legs and X-shaped seat support being molded as separate parts, as evinced by the reveals separating them…
…but that appears to be as far as it's gone. Bummer.
