Industrial designer Antonio de Marco, who's also a professor at Milan's Polytechnic School of Design, designed these beautiful carbon fiber cases for musical instruments.
These are apparently in production by Spanish brand Luma Suite—but sadly, I'm not able to learn of any details; de Marco offers no description, and at press time Luma Suite's website was down. I'll leave the link up in case it's a glitch—I hope these guys haven't gone out of business!

Unfortunately the business did cease operating sometime around May of this year: "not sustainable in the long term."
That is sad. I suppose the lack of touring opportunities for musicians in the last few years cannot have helped. Buying a new, shinier and lighter case is a an optional luxury if the musician already owns a perfectly serviceable case for their instrument.
