Our 2022 Ultimate Gift Guide competition has officially wrapped, and we want to thank all of you who contributed your gift ideas! There in fact would be no Ultimate Gift Guide if it weren't for your amazing gift suggestions.

This year, we revisited our OG "make-your-own-guide" format to see what creative guides you all could come up with—and readers did not disappoint.

We have a number of awesome prizes to give away this year. If you have submitted a gift guide in the past and entered one again this year, congratulations! You're already an automatic winner of a $15 gift card from Apple, which you'll receive from us via email.

And the rest of our awesome prizes will be going to two lucky readers who put together some top-notch guides. Today we're giving away the Community Choice Prize—a $200 MoMA Design Store gift card—to one individual who got the most votes and was deemed Most Popular Gift Guide.

And finally, one gift guide chosen by Core77 editors will be deemed Editor's Choice, and the curator will receive a $300 MoMA Design Store gift card!

Community Choice

This year's recipient of the Community Choice Prize goes to Anna Gross, an Industrial Designer in New York, NY, for their "For the Jet-Setter" gift guide! It's not hard to see why this guide was a fan favorite, as it's got some great design-y gift options for frequent travelers.

Editor's Choice

The choice between us editors was more or less unanimous— we had to give the Editor's Choice prize to "Repair is Care—a Mega Mending Kit (Darning, Kintsugi & Sugru)" by Ohio State University Assistant Professor Design Will Nickley! Not only does this list have great DIY-value, its message is also an important one. The guide drives home that although the holidays are an opportunity to acquire some cool new things, we should always question the nature of throwaway culture and value the objects we already own.
