Right now it's a wintry 26 degrees Farenheit (-3 Celsius) in New York City. I never thought I'd miss the old radiators in my Brooklyn apartment, but now that I live in a converted sweatshop with an industrial blower for heat--it's like a huge hairdryer hanging from the ceiling, and about as efficient--I'm dying to sit next to those ugly, squalid pipes and their consistent convection.
Of course, radiator design has come a long way since Brooklyn first got indoor heat. Take a look at the offerings in the "contemporary radiators" section by UK manufacturer Aestus.
