I keep forgetting that every once in a while, Bugatti will design a pool table or Porsche Design will do a folding TV. So it shouldn't surprise me that Pininfarina designed a high-end expandable dining table, for Italian furniture manufacturer Calligaris.
The Orbital table, which features a polyurethane body, a top made of ceramic glass and a highly overengineered table extension method, looks like this:

It's in the $11,000 range, if you have to ask. (And I don't know if I'm losing all perspective with luxury pricing, but I thought it would cost a lot more than that.)
