Dutch product designer and Eindhoven grad Maud van Deursen created this CARAF Château D'eau, "a design object for the table." It's essentially a tabletop water tower that provides an unusual way to fill your drinking glass (provided it's the right height):

From a use case perspective, I could maybe see this being used in a fancy restaurant where experiential differences matter. I couldn't see using this myself—the missus and I are not a tablecloth type of household—but I do wonder if perhaps users with motor function issues might find this easier than pouring?
