The Muppet Whatnot Workshop at F.A.O. Schwartz is a nice example of mass customization, or of making everyone a toy designer, or of going all Muppety on the Build-A-Bear concept. Customize your own Muppet (body color, eyes, nose, hair, and outfit) and they'll ship it to you, for $90. Can you picture that?

Honestly, we'd have more use for an online make-your-own Muppet avatar. Someday we'll find it.
