Japanese appliance manufacturer Thanko has released the Makasetei, a "fully automatic ramen maker."
It's essentially a coffee machine without the hotplate. Pour cold water in, put the cup beneath the chamber and the machine does the rest, in three to five minutes.
It's height-adjustable, to accommodate the cups of different noodle brands.
The machines run ¥6,480 (USD $45). If I was a little smarter I'd set up a distribution deal, target U.S. college dorms and retire a multimillionaire.
"I'll have what he's having."
