France-based industrial designer Tim DeFleur asks if easy chairs should be places to stow things. His experimental Pocket Chair invites you to "put all of your personal stuff in the 'pocket.'"
And thanks to the form, it's "easy to clean," he writes. "Say goodbye to lost money, keys etc. hidden behind cushions."
DeFleur prototyped the chair in powder-coated steel, but as far as I can tell, only produced one. Which is a shame; I'd like to see more iterations and explorations of chair as temporary storage object.
I'd also like to see what these would harvest if placed in a public area, like a waiting room. Actually, strike that—I mean in a public place outside of America. I know what our citizens would leave in it: Garbage and food wrappers.

Great Idea. But either make it low enough for short people or give it adjustable legs.
+1 for Mr Noe's point about iteration.
Fun concept. And while I still see things getting "lost" in the pocket, they should be slightly easier to find.
