"Throw it away and it is waste," writes design consultancy Seki Design Lab. "Reuse it and it is raw material." Seki's designers, Hiroshi and Mayumi Seki, took high-performance plastic waste, used for machine parts and tools, from BASF and molded them into cutlery. They then had Tsuchinao Shikki, a manufacturer of lacquerware, apply their trade to the upcycled utensils.
