The Arch bench, by ex-Bang-&-Olufsen industrial designer Shinya Oguchi, is perhaps the most minimalist design for a bench I've ever seen:
"The steel thickness is just 3.2mm. It is very thin but it is steady thanks to the arch structure. The converged points of the arches become legs and the widened portions support the seat. The 5 divided parts are screwed by super short bolts. Seen from side, the shape is a bit tapered to enhance the lightness feeling. The seat is gently curved in response to the arch structure, inviting people to sit on it."
It appears to be just a concept, which is too bad; I think it's beautiful.
