European furniture brand Riluc offers, well, insane objet d'art furniture primarily out of steel; if you're a production designer on a Bond film tasked with creating the antagonist's lair, this here is one-stop shopping. The bulk of the pieces are designed by company founder and Portugal-based French expat Toni Grilo, whose website states he is "obsessed by the beauty of technical processes and materials."
Some examples:
"Stainless steel embraces cushions to create a new seductive form of sitting."
"Opulent object with soft contours. A hand-crafted wonder, a tribute to the Michelin man and a limited edition object d'art."
"In stainless steel and glass, brought to life by the hands of expert craftsmen. To work, live and celebrate."
"Minimalism! Stainless steel frame enfolded by natural leather. Armchair with hand stiched leather. Hardness and softness. Strengtht and elegance. Simple and sophisticated."
"The strong presence of her simultaneously elegant and daring curves make this chair a recognisable luxury icon. The chair became a sculpture! In an amazingly bright stainless steel or with titanium coating for a gold or copper version."
"Luminous lines of brushed brass, reflecting sunlight, behind a light gray cloud of stainless steel."
"40 spheres united to create this one of a kind sofa that challenges the limits of furniture-making."
"Take time to immerse yourself in this marvelous madness. Toni Grilo dares with an unconventional, powerful approach on the creation of this masterpiece. Go MAD in this armchair, it disturbs and excites. Soft leather on hard, mirror polished stainless steel."
"The mousse collection presents an ingenious table system, allowing versatile configurations. You can choose between a side table, a coffee table, a low table or a console."
There's plenty more to see here.
