This walnut and copper baby's crib, from French design studio Noir Vif, is absolutely stunning:
Unusually, its mission goes well beyond giving the baby a place to swaddle:
"Argo is a crib made of fine walnut and copper, carefully combined to shield an infant from damaging electromagnetic waves. Named after the mythical vessel that protected Jason and the Argonauts, it gently cradles, shields and reassures."
"Argo is the product of close collaboration between Ludwig & Dominique's master cabinet makers and Noir Vif's designers. Through its design and the new techniques it explores, it opens up new horizons for contemporary cabinet making."
How times have changed. When I was a kid, my parents were constantly asking me to adjust the rabbit-ear antennas to improve our TV's reception.

Where's the baby?
Beautiful on its own, but copper isn't the best match for the tinfoil baby hats their customers are knitting.
What's the flaming gun doing? Are they sputtering the wood with molten copper, or some other process?
It's beautiful but is this even necessary? If yes, why stop at the cradle?
Unless I missed something, I didn't see any proof that this thing actually does anything to protect against electromagnetic waves. It looks nice but I see no facts or testing that proves it works.....
Agree, also the larger grid is kinda pushing hole size, would need to be max 1.2cm to start blocking wifi.
Yes and would also need to be grounded, right? Otherwise it would just absorb then re-emit to the inside.
