DeWalt Toolbox Has Folding Stepstool Hidden in the Lid

DeWalt's Storage Step Stool is a toolbox with folding aluminum legs hidden in the lid. Pop the top off, unfold the legs, and you've now got an additional 18 inches of height.

The company says it will hold 300 pounds of weight, but I'm assuming they mean just the top surface. Watching the video, the lower step looks a little janky to me:

Seeing it in the toolbox-with-legs configuration, my initial thought was I'd like to have something like this out here on the farm, to keep my toolbox out of the mud when I'm working outdoors. Then I realized, if I got mud on the feet and folded that back into the lid, well, now I've got mud on the tools.

I do like the concept, though. I'd love to see a little competition in this space among toolbox manufacturers.

I think thisnis a decent concept. However I agree that it appears that a 180-200 lb man twisted that lower step, I'd hate to see hownit distorted under 250-300 lbs. Looks like it would be a hazard to me.

My other concern is the time it takes to unfold and set up, as well as the reverse. Now, maybe he's doing it relatively slow in order to display how it operates, but to me, carrying around another smaller step stool seems more efficient. The only plus this one has that most step stools don't is the ability to set the box on top and open/work out of the box easier.

I didn't see a price for this.
