I've been looking at portable work platforms, which would be handy around the farm and a bit safer than ladders. Our friends over at Pro Tool Reviews gave good marks to the ~$100 Werner Adjustable Pro Work Platform…

…but given the lack of flat ground here, I've also been coveting this model from Niwaki, which has legs that can be adjusted independently of one another:
The extra engineering comes with a cost, of course: The Niwaki's more than twice the price of the Werner. I suspect I'll just be toting the Werner around with a bucket full of wood cut-offs to use as shims.
