For readers in the NYC area, there's only one day left to register for the Etsy-hosted Electric Junk Guitar Class, led by Ranjit Bhatnagar. The two and a half hour workshop doesn't ask much of participants, considering what you're getting: sign up, bring US$60, a "nice sturdy wooden beam or a fairly straight stick," and a willingness to get busy, and you are guaranteed to walk out with "at least a fun twangy noisemaker," complete with hand-wound pickups and plenty of room for experimentation. Rocking out on a homemade axe -- what could be more punk rock than that?
