I still remember as a kid peeling away the white outer layer of golf balls, which revealed about a hundred miles {it seemed) of thin rubber bands. Underneath all of that lay the real gold: the hard rubber ball at the core. 🙂
I worked at Titleist bout 20 years ago but on the Custom Department, which was were we would clean up and prep graphic files for logos of companies that wanted their logo on a ball. Never went to see the factory where they were made as I only was there for a few months. Fun things I learned: Tiger Woods was the first pro-golfer to have his name TIGER printed on balls (golfers use like color dots to ID their golf balls), and Bob Hope's Golf balls used to say "This ball lost by Bob Hope".
