In thinking about how to thwart bicycle thieves, UK design student Phil Bridge reasoned that if the bike was only worth $30, it'd have a better chance of going unsnatched. His designed result? A fully functioning cardboard bicycle! Check it out at inhabitat.

and someone tried to steal it anyway. someone even managed to steal two brake pads, which were very "expensive" at �1 for a pair (that was in 2006) i was lucky i still had a half pair of brake pads (ie only on one side)...
