In an age when entire swaths of society must reinvent themselves in order to thrive, Ayse Birsel's "Design the Life You Love: A Step-by-Step Guide to Building a Meaningful Future" is more relevant than ever. We reviewed the award-winning industrial designer's book when it came out in 2015, but it may as well have been written for 2020.
"Ayse's 'Design the Life You Love' virtual tea party is a magical and magnificent way to spend an hour of quarantine with a friendly, supportive global audience," says designer Heike Rapp.
"I found it refreshing to work on constructive introspection via quick sketching exercises, rich conversation, and learning from a wise person. Ayse and team have figured out a way to transcend the limitations of the virtual medium. When her friend talked us through a meditation session, I appreciated the friend's words entering directly into my head via headphones. You don't get closeness like that by sitting in a large studio with an instructor."
Tomorrow (Wednesday, Aug. 26th) at 3pm EDT is the 23rd Virtual Tea, this time with guest Cindy Allen, Editor in Chief of Interior Design. You can sign up for free at the link below:
