Pentatonic, a design and technology firm that's self-dubbed as "The circular economy company," has designed a line of eco-friendly portable cutlery called the Pebble.
In addition to the utensils being made from recycled polypropylene, polycarbonate and steel, "The case is 'made from music' from recycled CDs, handles from recycled food packaging and the tips are anodised titanium coated steel, to give the unique coloured tool heads," manufacturer Otherware writes. "Your Pebble is widely recycled. Just disassemble and add to your local recycling, or better yet, trade-back to us so we can make new things."
I'm digging these in particular because in addition to fork/knife/spoon, they come with a straw and a set of chopsticks, the deal-sealer for me; I eat salad with chopsticks. (Try it, you'll never go back. There's no better, mess-free way to convey leafy greens into your face.)
