In just a few short years, IFA Berlin (Internationale Funkausstellung) has created a name for itself as the go-to international launchpad for Q4 product offering announcements from the biggest names in tech. IFA has recently been gaining speed on it's American counterpart CES in Las Vegas, growing steadily in scale to become the foremost European electronics show. Boasting massive stands from heavy-hitters LG, Intel, Lenovo, Toshiba, Whirlpool and more, IFA attracts over 245,000 international visitors to see the product offerings of over 1,600 exhibitors in the German capital.
The overwhelming exhibition attracts not only tourists, electronic enthusiasts and press but an assortment of buyers, suppliers, manufacturers and retailers looking for the latest emerging trends and products. Highlights this year included the launch of the extended smart home solutions from Samsung SmartThings and SmartThinQ Sensor from LG. Major brands were joined by startups (many fresh from recent crowdfunding) tackling smart home in the TecWatch Hall including the HugOne Sleep Monitor, Holi SmartLamp and Prizm Speaker.
Visitors to IFA were certainly not disappointed with a little something for everyone whether your looking for the latest smartphones to conversational robotic shopping assistants to printers of 3D models of unborn babies.
