DUSK is a clock that continuously changes shades depending on the time of day—a visual spectacle from dusk till dawn.
Designer: Lu Yicong
Project manager: Lumi
Engineer: Troy
Collaboration: DesignNest
Inspired by the simplicity of Mother Nature, there are no unnecessary decorative elements in this clock—only clean, monochromatic aesthetics that are both soothing and easy on the eyes. The clock's face changes its shade from transparent to opaque depending on the time of the day. Looping from dark to transparent,DUSK brings variation in its minimalist design.
The dimension of DUSK is bound to the Golden Ratio, which is so common throughout nature's forms, such as ferns, flowers and seashells. The harmony of the Golden Ratio arises from its unique capacity to connect individual parts of a whole, in a way where each retains its own identity yet blends into the greater pattern of a single whole.Whether you are a night owl or morning lark,DUSK combines the essence of nature with the cycle of time.
DUSK is easy to install and has the ability to calibrate to any time zone. The clock measures 300mm in diameter and weighs 450g. It requires just 1 AA battery to function and is made of polarized acrylic.
DUSK is now available on Kickstarter.

Love the design. Good Luck
Interesting approach in design. Once wrote an essay on https://britishessaywriter.org.uk/ about unique design language. Too pity didn't saw this post at that time.
