The 9 to 5 work schedule is changing. In modern life, there are people who work night shifts, and people who need to study all night. Emergency room workers can be called on at all hours. People with new businesses may have to stay up at night, too. Some just prefer to work at night.

The New Normal is a lighthearted project which aims to make the working environment more playful. No matter where people work, they are often in a confined and isolated space that can feel stressful. This project provides soothing and energizing elements to make any work space more comfortable.

The objects of The New Normal include a removable backrest that also functions as a blanket, a moveable recorder pillow, and a foot ramp to allow leg movement.

The New Normalis based on the present working environment but taken to the extreme. Thisis a lighthearted project that aims to make the working environment more playful. No matter where people choose to work, they are often in a confined and isolated space, and they are often stressed. This project provides soothing and energizing elements to make any work space more comfortable at any time.

The moveable blanket can be used both for working and napping. Nowadays, people often work and sleep in the same place. This means they need maximum comfort while both sitting and sleeping.

When you open the blanket in the collection, there is a zipper, which helps it fit universally. The blanket also has a hood to keep warm.

The ramp for foot movement and foot rest is designed to incorporate movement in the workplace because many of our jobs offer little to no chances to exercise. Most of the time, people just sit in chairs. The foot ramp can give people both foot rest and foot exercise. There are two part of the ramp: the memory foam for foot rest and the wood part for foot movement.

The recorder pillow can be used for both arm resting and napping. Our working spaces often force us to be out of touch with the outside world. So the recorder pillow provides recorded environmental sounds when we need a "breath of fresh air".
