This is a wood toy set design for preschoolers. Kids can stretch their imagination by assembling the separate parts to create different shapes. Transblock uses different wood materials, making it safe and sustainable. Also, it has a second life as a decoration after kids playing in childhood.
I reduced the amount of parts to keep the toy simple and used organic shapes to make it aesthetically pleasing. In the design of the object, I also avoided sharp edges as much as possible to make the toy 100% kid friendly.
I also tried different kinds of magnets to see which size can make the easiest connection while also keeping the appearance clean.
Plastics are petroleum based products producing a plethora of pollution. Along with that the plastics themselves do not decompose. This creates not only the initial pollution but additional problems that are magnified once these plastics sit in dumps and landfills.
With sustainable toys that are made from rubber woods and organic materials, they simply decompose back into the elements, creating no extra waste.
