Auroma Brewing Company
ABOUT THE AUROMA ONE—
The Auroma One is able to precisely control all the parameters involved in making the perfect cup of coffee for you. Equipped internally with PID temperature control, a scale for coffee-to-water ratio, and a conductivity sensor which measures how much coffee dissolves into each cup, the machine is sensitive to many factors in the coffee making process. As a result of these elements, The Auroma One can control coffee to water ratio, grind size, time of brew, temperature and total dissolved solids. Baristas use their tools and technique; we are using technology.
The Auroma One is the first machine with a tasting flight. You can brew three different types of coffee in three separate shots, or brew one type of coffee with three different brew settings. Exploring and sharing the experience of coffee has never been easier.
Each type of coffee bean is different. Instead of starting from scratch, the Auroma is able to translate what you love from one type of coffee, to highlight flavors you would also love in another.
The Auroma One is now available on Kickstarter

Interesting idea here. I have slowly honed in on my ideal cup of coffee by taking variables out of the equation. I think that is what you are trying to get to here. Wondering from a user experience how much of that the end user wants access to. When I break out a scale at work people usually look at me funny. Another thing is that you don't have control over the beans. What type of bean are we using? When were they roasted? Bean flavors change over the course of a week or two. Any thoughts on that?
It's a nice looking machine, but I think coffee should be simple. Hot water, coffee, and filter. Can you tell me why the coffee I love to make every morning isn't good enough? Why do I need to program a machine to make something I can make when I'm groggy and grumpy? Yes, I have had my coffee this morning, and I loved it.
Hello Ryan,
