Designed in the last three years, this collection was influenced by my workshops and discussions with Makers. As an alternative to Makers' problem solving approach and as a device to push creative individual expression, I introduced a simple design process based on storytelling in my design workshops. Naturally, I became interested in chairs as stories rather than seating solutions. And although many of my past works include narratives, the Fresh Cuts collection focuses on forming short humorous statements via chairs that are simple to produce, assemble and use.

The chairs are made of 18mm CNC cut birch plywood and various purchased components.

As Open Designs, they are available for download on my website, for anyone to copy, produce and experiment with.

The collections includes the Explicit Chair (a parody on cntemporary culture's overwhelming use of the female form), the Wildlife Chair and the Samurai Chair (a minimalist expression of the confident and dynamic Samurai).
