Hopefully you've been following along with our Sketching section, building your drawing skills with the tips provided by Michael DiTullo and Spencer Nugent. If you follow their advice and put in the work, you will improve. That's how you grow your skills.

Our resident sketchmeisters of course draw freehand, because they're pros; but for the lazy and shiftless among you, this artist has devised the following two-point-perspective cheating system:

Why is this lazy? This is just another tool being used to get a job done more efficiently.
Its no different to CAD (faster and more efficient than hand drafting), CNC (faster and more efficient than using a jigsaw) or using perspective grid lines in Photoshop.

I don't have a problem with this system/tool, but if I were pressed to justify the word "lazy" it would be because the lines aren't crisp and ruler-sharp. For a sketch this is great, but if you put this up in a room full of razor sharp straight edge drawings, it's gonna stand out and people are going to start looking around for the person with the bent paperclip and elastic in their hand...
