For auto design lovers it's hard not to pine away for the 1950s, when America released bold, original shapes that became the envy of the world. Outside of Cuba or a retro auto show, you're not likely to see dozens of these cars at once.
Unless you know Lenny in Brooklyn, that is. A self-professed lover of exterior automotive designs from roughly the late '40s to the late '50s, Lenny has been collecting and repairing the cars in a massive garage space in Gowanus. The breadth of his handpicked collection has to be seen to be believed, and it's a real pleasure listening to him explain why he does what he does:
