Haagen-Dazs 55-cent coupon: Coupons are an essential component of
consumerism, and this one, which ran in the Sunday papers on May 7, has
something I've never seen before: Next to the expiration date, where it
usually says, "Manufacturer s Coupon," the notation on this one says,
"Certificate of Delight." There's a fine line between chutzpah and
bullshit, and it's safe to say that Haagen-Dazs has now crossed it.
