The One Way Ticket - Space Capsule Zero gravity - zero budget. The One-way Ticket is a proposition to send one person on a voyage into deep space from where they will not return. The project investigates the exceptional nature of the scenario, and is exhibited was a multimedia installation.

The Extreme Environment Love Hotel, Jupiter Room New possibilities for human evolution through a bespoke form of love that simulates extreme environments. Jupiter's gravity is 2.34 times as strong as that of Earth. The Jupiter Room of the Extreme Environment Love Hotel has these for humans extreme gravity conditions - but we may very well still be able to live and reproduce in this environment.

Home Grown South Africa A classroom furniture system for primary and secondary schools in developing countries and areas of high unemployment. It can be easily made from steel rods, resin covered cardboard and fabric. And it also is weatherproof to be used outside.

Wet and Dry Light This light is produced as simple as manufacturing can be. It is requiring minimal use of materials and energy for its production. A single sheet of specialist paper is wetted and draped over a simple form to create a volume and then left to dry.

75% Control A new upholstery process that involves using traditional cushion material - polyurethane foam that is usually hidden under the fabric. The foam is poured into the final wooden structure and expands in it. In this way, the foam locks and sticks the furniture structure and grows a tactile surface that has a fabric look and feel.

Beyond the Body Photos of the human body are printed onto translucent silk, which will create the possibility of physically layering different bodies, ages, generations and identities. In a dance performance, the moving body manipulates the fabric so the body and the silk become one, distorting our perception or revealing a completely new physical form. The movement then brings this to life.

Prallel Architectures - Wolf The work involved the creation of a new inverted environment designed in the positive for use in its parallel negative, without rigidity, to be easy to cast in silicon, to release from the mould, with no undercuts and have the potential to be duplicated. The forms appear to have no function in their positive, but facilitate new function in negative, as a storage and display system, light and room divider.

Lexus LF Zero Two sheets - zero waste. Utilising an alternate process developed by London-based Robofold, panels are created by industrial robots that fold the sheet metal after it has been cut and scored. Tailor Made Bentley A one-off customized car that uses Robofold technology to its advantage. Basically it's a way of building car body panels by folding sheets of Aluminum with Robots. It uses cost effective and energy conservation methodology that makes manufacturing an exclusive piece, sustainable. Inner-city Vehicle This project aims to propose a future inner-city vehicle, environmentally acceptable and capable of shaping a deeper emotional relationship between people and environment. This year's Royal College of Art annual summer show included work by the greatest number of graduating students in the college's 175-year history. Nearly 500 art and design postgraduate students from more than 40 countries exhibited the results of their creative undertakings during the past two years in what is considered to be one of London's most prestigious creative hubs.

Show RCA 2012 took place simultaneously in six buildings across the college's two campuses in Battersea and Kensington. We scoped out the best work on both sites, from the Design Products, Design Interactions, Innovation Design Engineering, and Vehicle Design departments.

Projects ran the full gamut from the subversive to socially responsible to scientific and engineering research driven. Some of our favorites included the proposal for a one way ticket to space, an eight-wheel skateboard designed for riding down stairs, the nutritious grasshopper pate, a superstitious trading algorithm that trades live on the stock market based on numerology and the moon, and a thread-wrapping machine for binding parts together to create objects.
