In its second year, Sight Unseen OFFSITE has already grown considerably in size and following, and has quickly established itself as the quirky relative of long-established design fairs like ICFF. This year's OFFSITE took place at Hudson Mercantile over two floors that spanned over 5000 square feet each, proof that the show's potential for growth and innovation only gets bigger with each coming year. Always a healthy balance between commercial and conceptual, functional and beautiful, the show was true to Sight Unseen's playful nature and at times even highly ambitious. Interesting installations included a living room display draped in one common print created by Print All Over Me and a light installation entitled "Dynamic Sanctuary" by the Principals, created as a kind of all-immersive meditation space that responds with light to individual viewer's heartbeats— a moment of relaxation in the midst of Design Week madness.

Highlights from the show ranged from minuscule to monumental. Furniture and objects by designers like Object & Totem, Chris Wolston, and Aleksandra Pollner demonstrated exceptionally original points of view through form and surprising use of material, while larger displays like a surreal wallpaper experiment between Calico Wallpaper and glass artist John Hogan aimed to create something perplexing to the eye and distinctly experiential .
