Michale Embacher's Cyclepedia: A Century of Iconic Bicycle Design first came out in the UK this spring, but Chronicle Books'—who recently published I Love My Bike, among other bicyle titles—stateside launch has brought a new, um, cycle of press, including a number of image slideshows.
Embacher, an architect by trade, has over 200 rare bicycles to his name; Cyclepedia, which features 100 of these fantastic machines, is actually his second anthology of his collection.
It goes without saying that each and every one is a gem.
Maybe he'll include the likes of the "Splinter Bike," "Van Hulsteijn," "Inner City Bike" and "Gravity Bike" the next time around.
