About John Peterson
John Peterson is the founder and president of Public Architecture, a national group committed to improving communities by design and encouraging pro bono practice in architecture. Through "The 1%" program, Public Architecture asks firms to pledge one percent of their billable hours to pro bono service. Peterson also runs Peterson Architects, a for-profit design-intensive practice that is comprised of professionals with expertise in architecture, education, graphic design, journalism, landscape architecture, law and publishing.
