What does an award-winning closet look like?
Well, it looks like the walk-in designed by Carey Ekstrom of Illinois-based Closet Organizing Systems, above. Ekstrom's "Old World" design took top prize in the sub-18-feet category of Closets Magazine's 2009 Top Shelf Award competition earlier this year. (Man, there really is a magazine--and design competition--for everything!) I'm getting kind of depressed just looking at it--that little less-than-18-feet box is nicer than my whole friggin' apartment.
