I'm curious to see what conclusions anthropologists will draw when they dig this up in 10,000 years: Dutch firm Salzig Design's "Temple of Trash" is made from 100 tons of PET bottles compacted into rough cubes. The garbage-based pyramid was built to inspire recycling.
It is ironic that the temple was built as part of a festival in 2007 and is now, in 2009, getting widespread blog coverage. It seems news of the temple, like the PET bottles themselves, is being recycled.
